Routine Schedule You Can Keep

• Weekly dusting: For blinds, close slats and wipe from center to edges, then reverse and repeat. For sheers, shake out gently or use a soft brush attachment on low suction.
• Monthly refresh: Vacuum drapes top-to-bottom; check track rollers, end-stops, and brackets for play. Tighten loose screws and wipe chains or wands.
• Seasonal deep care: Launder washable fabrics on a gentle cycle (cool water), then hang to dry to reduce creasing. For non-washables, book professional dry-cleaning or steam on low from the lining side.

Fabric-Specific Care

Cotton & Linen

Wash cool and air-dry to limit shrinkage. Use linings for UV protection; press while slightly damp for crisp folds.

Polyesters & Blends

Low maintenance, good colorfastness. Avoid high heat; a quick cool-iron or handheld steamer smooths travel creases.

Velvet & Chenille

Do not crush pile — steam vertically without touching. Spot-treat with blotting only; never rub.

Blackout & Dimout Linings

Wipe with a barely damp microfiber cloth. Excess water can mark the coating; always dry with free airflow.

Keep away from prolonged humidity. Dust regularly; for stains, consult service — aggressive cleaning can distort fibers.

Spot-Treating Stains (Safe Method)

1. Test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area; wait 10 minutes.
2. Blot (don’t rub) from the edges toward the center to avoid halos.
3. Use pH-neutral solutions; avoid bleach and high-alkaline agents.
4. Allow natural drying; heat can set marks permanently.

Hardware & Mechanisms

Tracks run best with a dry silicone spray — never oil. If panels snag, inspect carriers for lint and replace worn rollers. For blinds, check the clutch and chain connector; if lift feels uneven, it may be time to re-tension or restring.

Child-Safe Operation

Keep cords and chains secured with tensioners at the frame. Consider wand control or motorization for nurseries and playrooms. Replace broken stoppers immediately; a missing safety part voids compliance.
